KIBALE FOREST

Kibale National Park is the best safari destination for tracking the chimpanzees in Uganda. The park is located approximately 26km from Fort portal in western Uganda. The park is popularly visited by tourists intrested in tracking chimpanzees and bird watching , it is home to up to 1450 chimpanzees and other primates like the L'hoest monkeys, baboons, red tailed monkey, balck & white colobus monkeys and the rare grey cheeked managabey - You can also enjoy other activities like mountain hiking which is majorly done in dry season, bird watching experience at the Bigodi wetland and guided nature walks which begin from Kanyanchu or Sebitoli, taking a approximately 2- 6 days and a thrilling water adventure at the crater lakes.

Getting there- The forest is located 300 km west of Kampala and a road trip lasts betwee 4 to 5 hours using the Masaka road / Kampala- Hoima road.
