Rwenzori Mountains National Park was established as early as 1991 and later designated as a UNESCO Wolrd Heritage Site in 1994 because of it’s amazing natural beauty that comprised Rwenzori mountains ( home to Africa’s third highest peak), beautiful waterfalls, lakes and glaciers. Rwenzori Mountains National Park is situated in southwestern Uganda spanning across the districts of Bundibugyo, Kabarole and Kasese. Strategically located on the east side of the western African rift valley along the Uganda- DR Congo border, the Rwenzori National Park occupies up to 996 square kilometers of land.

Entrance fees
The fee for entering Rwenzori Mountains National Park is US$ 35 for foreign non-residents, US$ 25 for foreign residents & only UGX 150,000 for East African citizens and you must be at least 12 years old to be allowed to hike the mountain peaks.
