Lake Mburo national park is known as the smallest savannah park in Uganda. The Park is famous for hosting unique wildlife species rare to spot elsewhere in other safari parks. A tour to lake Mburo gives you a chance to see stunning wildlife like Rothchild giraffes, African buffaloes, Duikers, Burchell’s Zebras, Eland and Impala antelopes among others. The park is as well a great bird watching destination with about 315 bird species including the rare shoebill stork. Other bird species include; papyrus yellow warbler, grey crowned crested crane, white-winged barber among others.

Getting there – Lake Mburo park is located about 240 kilometers from Kampala’s capital city and about 30 kilometers from Mbarara. It is found on the Masaka- Mbarara road connecting Kampala to other safari destinations in western Uganda.
